Pap Smear

When should I get a Pap smear?

Most women should start Pap smear screening at age 21 and repeat it every 3 years, or every 5 years with HPV co-testing from age 30.

A Pap smear (Pap test) checks for early cell changes in the cervix before they can become cancer. Screening is generally recommended from age 21.

Between ages 21 and 29, a Pap smear every three years is typical. From 30 to 65, you can have a Pap smear every three years, an HPV test every five years, or combined Pap + HPV co-testing every five years.

If you have symptoms, a previous abnormal result, or a positive HPV test, your doctor may advise more frequent screening. Book a consultation to plan the right schedule for you.
