Cervical Cancer Screening

What are the early symptoms of cervical cancer?

Early cervical cancer often has no symptoms, which is why screening matters; later signs can include abnormal bleeding, discharge or pelvic pain.

In its earliest stages, cervical cancer usually causes no symptoms at all — screening is the only reliable way to detect early changes.

Possible warning signs include bleeding between periods or after sex, unusual discharge, and pelvic pain.

Because symptoms appear late, regular screening is the best protection even when you feel completely well.
